Hi, I’m Angela Loiacono!
I write stories that make kids giggle, dream, and believe in kindness. Growing up in a tight-knit family, I saw how small moments of care create belonging. But today, families and educators have a lot on their plates, making that harder to nurture.
That’s why I created The Adventures of Kai the Butterfly and the A-OK Club. More than a series of books, Kai’s stories helps kids see their actions matter and that kindness makes life richer. The A-OK Club brings these lessons to life with simple ways to build confidence and connection.
I’m honored to have received a Read Your World badge for my book donations. Through Kai’s story, I’m committed to celebrating diversity and championing multicultural stories to help kids shape their own stories of kindness. To date, I have donated hundreds of books to children, charities, and hospitals to foster kindness and literacy.
If we want confident, connected kids, we have to be intentional today. The Adventures of Kai the Butterfly isn’t just a book—it’s a movement. I’d love for you to be part of it!

Boston Children’s Hospital, Author meet-and-greet, a reading and book signing of The Adventures of Kai the Butterfly Why Happiness Greets Me, along with a donation of books. Thank you to the incredible team at Boston Children’s Hospital Primary Care and Reach Out and Read Program for making this happen. It was a fun filled event for all!
